Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information. Last updated July 24, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Amr Montasser's Team (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website and our mobile application (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Who we are
The Service is an educational platform operated by Amr Montasser's Team, based in Egypt. It supports course delivery, student registration, progress tracking, file sharing, and communication between students, parents, teaching assistants, teachers, and administrators.
For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@teammramrmontassermathigcse.com.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
a. Account and registration information
- Your name and, where applicable, a parent or guardian name.
- Email address and phone number.
- Your password (stored only in encrypted/hashed form).
- Your role (for example student, parent, teaching assistant, teacher, or administrator).
- Registration details such as your zone, track, and the course(s) you join.
- An optional profile picture (avatar).
b. Content you provide
- Files, photos, and documents you upload (for example homework, papers, or reports).
- Audio recordings you choose to create and submit within the app.
- Messages you send through in-app chat.
c. Academic and performance data
- Assignment, quiz, and exam submissions, grades, attendance, performance statistics, and related feedback.
d. Device and technical information
- A push-notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver notifications to your device.
- Basic device and log information such as device type, operating system, app version, and general usage needed to operate and secure the Service.
Device permissions we request
The mobile app asks for the following permissions. Each is used only for the stated purpose, and you can decline or later change them in your device settings (some features may not work without them):
- Camera and Photos / Storage — to let you take or select images and upload files such as homework and papers.
- Microphone — to let you record and submit audio when you choose to.
- Notifications — to deliver updates about your courses, assignments, and messages.
How we use your information
- Create and manage your account and registration.
- Provide the Service's core features, including courses, uploads, grading, and messaging.
- Track academic progress and share it with authorized users (see below).
- Send you notifications and important updates about the Service.
- Maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service.
- Respond to your requests and provide support.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
How we share information
We share information only in these limited ways:
- Within the platform: your relevant information (for example progress, submissions, and messages) is visible to the teachers, teaching assistants, administrators, and — where applicable — the parent connected to your account, for legitimate educational purposes.
- Service providers: we use trusted providers to run the Service, including Google Firebase (push notifications) and our hosting/database infrastructure. They process data only on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards.
- Legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
Push notifications
We use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications. To do this we store a device notification token linked to your account. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings; this may stop you from receiving course, assignment, and message alerts.
Users aged 13 to 17
The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
For students who are minors (aged 13 to 17), we encourage a parent or guardian to review this policy. A parent or guardian may contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of their child's information. If you believe a minor has provided information without appropriate consent, please contact us at info@teammramrmontassermathigcse.com.
Your rights and choices
You may:
- Access and update your account information within the app.
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
- Withdraw consent for optional permissions (camera, microphone, photos, notifications).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@teammramrmontassermathigcse.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
How to delete your account and data
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing info@teammramrmontassermathigcse.com with the subject “Account deletion request” from the email address on your account. We will delete your personal data, except information we are required to retain for legal, security, or legitimate record-keeping purposes.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of passwords and restricted access to personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data location and transfers
Your information may be stored and processed on infrastructure operated by us and by our service providers, which may be located in different countries. Where information is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
